QuisLex is looking for a commercial attorney with a strong background in privacy and data security to be part of our growing U.S. commercial legal services practice. You will work with our corporate clients’ in-house legal teams and their internal clients.  Your primary focus will be transactional support for both sales and procurement agreements that include data protection agreements and addenda. You will also support projects to move customers, suppliers, and partners to the most current global data privacy standards, and to build living playbooks and guidance.  Candidate will typically work with two or more clients and should be able to comply with and adapt to different corporate cultures, policies, and procedures.


  • Contract review and negotiation, including data protection and data security agreements/addenda
  • Participate as an SME in various high-profile projects for our clients who are updating and implementing their privacy policies and standards with customers, suppliers, and partners
  • Assistance in analyzing and resolving contract issues and disputes
  • Remediation projects to amend existing agreements to comply with changes in law or client policies
  • Updating, or in some cases, developing playbooks, templates, and training materials
  • Use of client workflow tools and processes in support of assigned work
  • Capture best practices, risk standard deviations, acceptable alternatives, process issues, and other post-deal data and information to update clients’ playbooks, processes, and training materials
  • Keep abreast of current privacy and data security legal landscape and contribute updates to client policies, playbooks, and processes



  • D. and and an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. State
  • 7+ years' relevant commercial contracting experience
  • Solid understanding of global privacy regulatory framework and proper application of Standard Contractual Clauses
  • Working collaboratively across client company functions, including Info Security, Compliance, Communications, Risk Management, Corporate Governance and Strategy
  • Privacy, Strong communication skills with ability to adapt communications for different audiences
  • Must be very responsive and able to work gracefully in fast moving, demanding client environments
  • Must be able to apply practical business judgement

  • Experience working cross-culturally and remotely with teams outside the U.S.
  • Comfort working with technology tools, data, and AI
  • Resourcefulness in finding practical solutions to move deals forward
  • Ability to streamline and simplify tasks and issues
